DU SITE
D'ENCHERES EBAY-USA

- hôte :
e-bay,

- Vehicle Description :
This Great Depression survivor would be the envy of any
serious vintage car collector. According to Hupmobile
Club, Inc. this is one of only seven known vehicles of
its kind in the world, with just three residing in the
United States. An extremely solid vehicle with no dents
or surface rust, this older restoration does have some
very minor cosmetic blemishes(mainly paint chips from
two-sided tape used for parade signage). The engine,
which is not the original,is a 1956 235ci six-cylinder
complimented by a three-speed transmission with
overdrive, which shifts nicely and runs well. The more
you look at this vehicle, the more intrigued you become.
It has a two-person rumble seat and a leather covered and
strapped travel trunk. It also included such unique items
as canisters for water, gas, and oil which were an
absolute must to those long hauls.Built with
long-distance travel in mind, this Hupmobile also boasted
the versatility of additional storage in front of the
rumble seat passengers(note the side compartment door)and
extendable running board rails which were used to ride
extra pieces of luggage without fear of losing them. The
interior is in nice condition and has an amazing amount
of wood/veneer appointment, especially around the rumble
seat area. Owner has what he believes to be the original
six spoke wheels. Additional pictures available to those
interested. Thanks for looking, take care and God Bless!
