DU SITE
D'ENCHERES <<E-BAY>> usa
|
- hôte :
e-bay,

- Rare 61
Metropolitan-More smiles per mile
- Vehicle Description :
I am relisting this Met. The "Buy it Now" price equals
the reserve, so if you want this car, "Buy it Now" will
be the least expensive way. This one is a honey. Everyone
smiles when you drive by in this. Must sell for medical
bills. '61 Metro hardtop. Oregon car, indoors kept-found
in a barn last year. Gas tank was removed and flushed,
intake filter on pick-up tube removed and cleaned. All
stock, except turn signal indicator lights on front
fenders, and reflectors over rear wheel well. Cleaned out
fuel pump. New gas, cleaned the points, changed the oil
and antifreeze, and she purrrs like a kitten. New shocks
on front, and wheel bearings. (5) New radial tires.
Blasted and repainted 5 wheels. Polished hub caps and
bought new vinyl "M" stickers for them. Also vinyl
"Metropolitan" script in back window, and nice vinyl
spare cover. Newer battery, but it won't stay charged. I
don ''t know if it's the battery or voltage reg. or what.
New brake wheel cylinder kits, and flex hoses on front.
Brake and clutch master cylinders rebuilt. The entire
exhaust system, from donut at exhaust manifold, through
tailpipe was replaced last summer. It was done in a
muffler shop that does classic cars. The heater hoses are
not hooked up. The fan runs, but I know nothing about the
heater core. All lights work, signals are toggle switch
on dash. Horn works. Has a tach. No radio. All glass
good, windows roll up and down, both doors, trunk, and
hood all operate. Vinyl on seats and doors was redone
sometime, still looks good. Headliner is good, but
hanging loose in one spot. I was told it could be reset.
Speedo doesn't work, but the tach does. 76000+ miles on
odometer. The color in the pics is bad, cheap camera,
sorry. It is not deep red, more like salmon- orange, as
we'd say here in Oregon, and the white is white, not
yellowish, like the pics. Chrome is shiny, with "some
pits. Rockers and lower doors have some rust through.
Floorboards are clean, very little rust. has an old bondo
spot on roof, easily fixable. This is not a show car, but
could be with a little work. It is a solid daily driver,
if that's what you're looking for. Handles nice. A nice
little car for putting around. It comes with a tow bar,
welded angle iron (beefy) that could tow this car a long
way. Also a light bar-- bungy cord it on and go. I towed
one over 200 miles, no problem, in the rain even, behind
my '93 Ranger last year with this set-up. Deposit of
$200.00 due in 48 hours, paypal or wire transfer. Full
payment by cashiers check mailed to me, within 8 days of
auction end. Allow plenty of time, the mails run slower
now, you know. Buyer pays all shipping charges, or pick
up in SW Oregon, 15 miles off I-5 near Roseburg. If you
bid on this car, and win, I expect you to buy it. Please
email: rhutton@pioneer-net.com for more pics, or come see
it preferably
