1958 PACKARD HAWK COLLECTORS DREAM Vehicle Description : EXCELLENT INVESTMENT FOR THE RARE CAR COLLECTOR... For sale 1958 Packard Hawk. The vehicle is numbered 558 of 589 produced. According to the 1973 Studebaker bulletin, of the orginal 589 vehicle's 46 were located (and registered).Of the total number produced 42 were exported, and 159 have been located in salvage yards as being parted out or crushed. This vehicle was purchased by the current owner in 1985 and except for occasional use for display has been in storage. The vehicle has 66235 miles with all orginal equipment, gold leather upholstry and the original 289 engine. Please note the two pictures showing rear of vehicle. Owner added tire kit (picture #2), but the orginal tire kit (picture #4) is still in the owners possession. Current owncer has Florida title and the ORIGINAL INVOICE DATED JUNE 6, 1958 (pictured below) THE VEHICLE IS EQUIPPED WITH THE FOLLOWING ORIGINAL FACTORY FEATURES: 289 ENGINE 8 CYL SUPERCHARGER AUTOMATIC TRANS. The Ad reads, these are the most exclusive cars in America during that time period because the Studabaker golden Hawk and the Packard Hawk was the only supercharged production cars made in the USA. The variable speed centrifugal blower provides up to 5 pounds added air at the carburetor inlet, with amount of supercharging proportional to engine rpm (160 MPH) The resulting high performance of these Hawks is matched to self=centering, self=energizing brakes carrying finned drums etc. too much to write the Ad can be purchased on ebay. Vehicle Condition : Using "oldcars.com" the vehicle rates good/excellent with no known defects. No rust, no dents, new 14" tires (per manufacturer owners manual)
