Description: Here is an original 1962 Mercury Comet Custom with only 81,268 ORIGINAL MILES! This car runs and drives, starts and stops. It has been in storage for the last few years. Overall the car is very solid and complete. Engine starts up easily, the transmission shifts smoothly. Manaual brakes work good. Headlights, taillights, turnsignals, heater, and wipers also work. Even the GAS GAUGE works! The frame and floors all look solid. Body has never really been rusted as far as I can tell. The worst looking part of the car is the passenger side door which looks to have been replaced. It really isnt a big deal. Also it looks like the rear drivers quarter panel was repaired. The outer body side body chrome was replaced with NOS parts a couple years ago. All glass is intact with NO cracks or breaks. Interior is in pretty good condition for never being restored. The dash pad looks nice! The front seat and headliner show wear, otherwise it looks pretty good. If you are looking for a fun classic car, that wont take much work, this will make a good car for you! Sold as is because it is used. The only work I can think is it will eventually need to be painted and will need an exhaust system. The car is surprisingly very quiet. I drove the car around my yard and it operated fine. I would recomend hauling the car to your destination because of the exhaust and because it has been in storage for a few years. Get a COOL vintage car to drive and fix at the same time! Have a unique car that is differant from everyone else!
