e-bay,

- 1941 Mercury
- Vehicle Description :
This is a 1941 Mercury 4 Door Sedan with an original V8
engine. This was only the third year of production of
Mercurys, and they are among the rarer of collectible
vehicles. It is a peppy and fun car to drive and will get
lots of looks
- Vehicle Condition :
This car is in original condition and is very complete
and solid. The body is rust free and has only a few minor
dings and dents. There is one small spot (about 1/2 inch
x 2 inch)on the left rear door jamb where a piece of
exterior metal either broke , or was cut away. (It will
be an easy repair). The trim is in overall pretty good
condition, but there are dings and dents in several
pieces of the exterior stainless. The grille, bumpers,
and bumper guards are decent and suitable for a driver
vehicle. The dash, instruments, and knobs are fairly
clean and presentable, as is much of the upholstery,
except the inner door panels which are only fair. All of
the interior and exterior door handles are in pretty good
shape, except a couple of the interior door and window
handles which have deteriorated plastic, and the trunk
handle assembly which is damaged and must be replaced.
The engine runs well, and the transmission, clutch, and
brakes are all operable, as are the headlights, parking
lights, and taillights. The fuel tank is shot and needs
replacement (a new metal reproduction tank is available
for about $250), and the left rear shock mount on the
frame needs repair. The muffler is bad and needs
replacement. Overall this is a very solid and sound
vehicle in fairly decent condition, and it can be used as
a driver with only minimal effort and expense.
