Le site français propose en général entre 2 et 4 pages d'objets et de voitures avec une certaine modestie pour les photos. en en vente aux enchères sur ebay fin 2001 à $8000 alors que le prix de réserve n'était pas atteint Elle se trouve à Midland (Texas) Voici ce qu'en dit le vendeur 1953 Studebaker Commander I list vehicles for others and I don't normally travel long distances to check out cars but this particular request intrigued me.  I had never seen a Commander so I decided it might be worth checking out.  I asked for some background on the vehicle, the owner said it had been in his garage since 1964 and he ran it on occasion but only on the rural roads near his house (can't go to far with 64 tags).   The 2 hour drive to his home was well worth the trip.  I was impressed with the body style of the vehicle, Studebaker was well ahead of its time when it created this beauty. This Commander is solid, with a tune-up and brake job, you could make it a daily driver.  If you have ever thought you might want to restore a vehicle but wanted to start out with an easy project then this vehicle is perfect for you.  The interior is in mint condition.  As is typical of this model Studebaker, even here in West Texas, there is some rust on the fender wells (see pics), the rest of the car is fine.  The owner has new fenders, front and rear, both sides and they come with the car. He also has a turtle deck (trunk lid) that goes with the car, the current one is fine.  New chrome trim, arm rests, and some Studebaker emblems are also included.  The engine and transmission are original, a 259 ci V-8 and a 3 speed with overdrive.  The glass is factory tint and clean all around except for a crack in the windshield. The owner also has the original owners manual and hubcaps (one hubcap is missing the center).  The radio is original and it works. The seats and headliner have been restored, the seats are out of a Sky Hawk. Finding a "Classic" is easy. Finding a Commander is not so easy.  Finding one in very good condition is almost impossible.
