Avanti Powered Hawk in Great Condition! Vehicle Description : Up for bid is a 1963 Studebaker GT Hawk in very good condition. It has the Jet Thrust motor, power steering and automatic. About the only thing the car needs is a paint job. The body is rust free, except for one very small spot starting on the driver's upper fender. The rest is of the car is without rust, it came from the west coast. The interior has been redone recently, but there are a couple of small cracks in the driver's seat on one panel that will need to be fixed. Minimal cost to repair. One interesting fact about this car is that it came from the factory with a 62 front end, even though it is a 63. This car comes with brand new tires, brand new hand-built custom wire wheels, a re-chromed grill (still in chrome shop, but they promised to have it back to me in a week), rechromed bumpers, and a lot of other goodies such as NOS trunk emblem, NOS door scripts, fender spears, etc. Car runs perfect as engine was rebuilt recently. Has all the Studebaker factory chrome options on engine. Don't miss out on this one, get in and drive it home! If you have any questions, feel free to call me at 517-204-7978. In response to numerous emails... A transmission service was just completed, and a new seal installed. The brakes are new. Lights, turn signals and backup lights work perfectly. I am installing a new headlight switch, since the current one is not stock. Heater works. No rips in the interior. Trans does not leak or slip. Near new exhaust. Car runs like new. Also, yes, it is a true Jet Thrust motor (JT number is stamped on engine). To clear up some more stuff... I removed the radiator shroud to paint it (although didn't get it done) and it is included with the car. I can't be 100% sure of why the front end is off a 62, only from what other Studebaker people have told me, and the fact that there is no evidence of the car ever being in an accident. For those of you that have seen my autions, or have delt with me, you know that I only sell quality vehicles, and will do whatever is necessary to make the buyer completely happy.
